Hopefully I've got it right this time. The decision was not easy and several times this week I wanted to throw myself in a corner and cry "MOOOOOOOOOMMMMMMMYYYYYYYY!!!"
I'm kind of embarrassed to admit that I messed up royally on my paint color picking last week. I'm usually pretty good at this, but let's just say my house looked like a Mexican restaurant after they finished painting. I tried to pick very neutral shades in the deeper gold family, but evidently my walls LOVE gold because it felt like the giant Sun itself was right here in our house! Now I'm a huge fan of warmth and beautiful shades of gold, but I've got baby weight to lose, so I can't be walking around in a house that makes me want to head over to Lupe Tortilla every second of the day (I have enough trouble with that temptation already!)
With that said, the painters are BACK! Not as much to do this time, so I'm hoping they will knock it out today. I plan on working in my room while they are here--painting a canvas for the baby's room, ironing Kyle's shirts (such the housewife, I know), attempting to scrub the bath tub again (it was interesting last week so it should be even more entertaining this week!), and who knows what else. I'm tired of reading books about pregnancy, so I don't think I'll be doing any of that. I'm as ready as I'll ever be.
Anyway, it's been a great week so far. You'll be happy to know that I am not as HOT as I have been! Our air has actually been on 71 most of the week. Yesterday, I got to eat lunch with my friend Kim, who is having her baby exactly one week before me! We are so excited that our babies will be so close in age. She is due any day now, and I'm so excited to find out if Baby Silvio's little playmate will be a boy or a girl!

Lunch was so fun...thanks for joining me. I hope that painting is going well today. I am sure that it will look fantastic.
Yeah, I found your blog from Kim and Eric. I enjoyed reading about you and Kyle, too cute!
ohhh...so sorry about the poor paint choice! I loved your description of heading to Lupe Tortilla over the paint color--it really made me laugh! You are a better woman than I though, because I told you I was not sure about our bedroom color but I painted it 1 1/2 years ago and it is still the same color because I am too scared to try something new-again, and a bit too lazy...
Also, love the fact that you are painting the canvas after we talked about Jaime's. I have been thinking about that and even thought of some good verses to do, but have not put anything into effect.
May I not be this flippant about the Lord's coming back! :)
