Happy One Month Jackson!!!

Well, we made it through the first month! It's funny to look back to one month ago and see how far we've come. I think we are really settled in well, and things seem to come so much more naturally to us now. It's amazing how quickly you adapt to new parenthood. (It doesn't seem like it will happen that quickly in the early days, so when you are there and it seems as though you will never be "normal" again...don't fear...you will be back to yourself in no time.) I think getting out and doing things has really enabled me to feel like "me" again. Jackson and I try to get out at least every other day. Jackson is starting to take a little more formula and sleeping well between feedings at night (most nights). Even though it's only about three hours at a time, it's nice to get some uninterrupted sleep. As soon as I say that, he will be up all night tonight! It has surely been a month of excitement and learning. We look forward to many, many more!!!!

Jackson, we are so glad you are here, and we are loving every minute (okay most of them) with you! You are a joy to take care of, and we are having so much fun watching you grow. You are very strong and are moving all the time when you are awake. You scoot off your little tummy play mat sometimes. When we hold you, you often start trying to push off of our hands. Today, we had you lying on your tummy mat and you were kicking your legs and raring your head back, and you turned yourself over from your tummy to your back! I'm pretty sure it was accidental since it's a little early for that, but maybe we'll see it again soon. I feel certain that you will have me chasing you around this house in no time. Your dad and I love you so very much and are celebrating the best month ever!!! Love, Mom
