Aunt Leslie & Aunt Becca came to visit!

Some positives about my broken toe (for those of you out of the loop, I slipped and fell in Wal-Mart Sunday night and broke my big toe on my left foot...not fun! Guess if we had been at Bible study, it wouldn't have happened!):

Anyway...
1. I have seen several good movies. I never take the time to sit and watch movies...too ADD for that.
2. I get to sit and blog about Leslie & Becca's visit this past weekend without feeling guilty about not doing housework.

So, Les & Bec made the trip over Friday night...or was it Saturday morning???? Haha. They had a time getting here, which included crazy rain/traffic getting out of BR, a UFO sighting somewhere near Beaumont, and an encounter with a gangster somewhere off the Beltway, but they made it around 1 am! They looked like such weary travelers, but they were able to laugh about it which was great!

We all crashed and ended up sleeping in Saturday morning, which was nice. We sat around & drank coffee and talked about getting up & going somewhere, but it never happened! We enjoyed laughing and talking about a whole bunch of stuff. Around 4, we finally decided to get dressed and made our way to the Astros vs Mets game! When Les lived in NYC, she went to some Mets games & Becca has a crush on the 3rd baseman (Wright), so they were rooting for the Mets & we were rooting for the Hometeam...since the Cubbies were nowhere around. We left at the top of the 9th because we were starving & missed the awesome finish that led the Astros to victory, but luckily we had taped it.

Anyway, we ate at Farrago's (in Midtown), which if you haven't been there, is really good! We've been several times b/c Britt recommended it to me when we first moved over here. SO GOOD! They have a lot of good options, but I love the Pizza Salad & can't ever bring myself to venture out.

We came home and watched 21 (SO GOOD!), and surprisingly Becca & I were the only ones to stay awake through the whole thing. We were the last two I thought would still be awake when it finished at 2:30. But it was really good, & I totally recommend it.

Here is Jackson with the balloon that a kid near us gave to him and said "You can have this for the baby"...haha...how sweet. As you can tell, Jackson really enjoyed it!

Sunday morning before Bec & Les left, we ate at Cafe Express, another one of my Houston favorites (and lol another one recommended by Britt). The food was great and the fellowship was even greater. We're so glad you girls made it over for the weekend, and we can't wait to see you again soon!
