For those of you wondering, yes, we are staying here to ride out IKE! We are super prepared with everything we need...and I hate to say it but a little excited to see a good storm...as long as no one gets hurt. We learned a lesson from Gustav in BR & stocked up on ice. It's not like we have much in our freezer/fridge to save, but at least we can have cold drinks if we lose power. I have lots to update on, but we have been pretty busy this week. I still haven't posted about Labor Day, our trip to BR (post-Gustav---PS no one get mad at us for not letting you know we were there; we came to help clean up!), or really any new pictures/videos lately, so I'll do that next week. We will let everyone know how we're doing after IKE, but we are pretty confident that we will be just fine! We live in Spring, which is NW Houston, so we are not in an area that typically floods really badly.
Have a great weekend everyone! And to our Houston friends, be safe!

I'm looking forward to some squally weather! Ike better not dissappoint us like Eduardo did. :)
Haha for real! Eduard was a WIMP! Hurricane party!
our house flooded in Allison so we do have a few concerns and so much around Cypress Creek in our area floods...
I'm a little nervous since I haven't gone through a major storm yet. It'll be good experience and it makes me feel better that most people around here don't seem the least bit concerned. I'm so use to Dallas where tornados just land on top of you with little warning. Hurricanes give me too much time to think and worry. If we loose power we may start visiting people...ha ha ha!
Linds I hope ya'll have lots of power and AC right now! I haven't heard anything about N Houston on the news so I'm ASSUMING ya'll weren't hit as bad as Galveston/Kemah area but let me know! And I need ya'lls address! The one I have returned in the mail to me weeks ago! My sister and BIL are moving to The Woodlands so you better be ready to see me in a few weeks when I come to visit everyone!
