Playing Catch Up Again

I really need to get better about posting more often. There has been so much I've wanted to share but haven't had the time. Time flies waaaay too fast, and having a child makes you realize just how fast it does pass.

Let's see...we checked out OK at our 6 month appt. with Dr. Knapick. The J-man weighed in at 18.5 lbs, and I can't remember how long they said he was. Dr. Knapick told me at his 2 week appt. that I needed to "fatten him up", and I have done what I was told. =) He gave me lots of good nutrition advice...but to sum it up..."NO French Fries!" He also said that Kyle needed to start eating his vegetables because Jackson is watching. This will be fun for me! Now I have a reason to make Kyle eat healthy stuff! The Doc said so. Aunt Kayla was in town, so it was fun having her at the appt. with us. She got to see little "action" (as she calls him) get his shots and all that good stuff. Can I just say I love Dr. Knapick? It is worth the drive to North Cypress because he is just so wonderful.

Our little man has officially had his first cold. He is playing it up BIG TIME. A few times he has opened his mouth to say something or cry, and all that will come out is a hoarse little scratchy sound. That, of course, scares him and he puckers out his bottom lip and cries. Poor little guy. Don't say I'm a bad mom for this, but I have liked the fact that he wants to cuddle with me since he doesn't feel well. I will be happy for him to get back to his usual squirmy and active self, but I'm fine with cuddling, too! I just want him to feel better.

I'm going to post the last few random pics that I have from his 6th month and hopefully get some Thanksgiving pictures up as well. We had a GREAT Thanksgiving with the Silvio side of our family!

Aunt Jan & KK (and LB and Lester) came to visit earlier in November! So much fun!
This is my goofy little man. His toy fell on him and he just kept on smiling. Totally oblivious.
He found something he loves to stare at on his Exersaucer...HIMSELF. Haha. I told him I was going to write a blog about him called "You're so vain...You 'probly' think this blog is about you"...Haha. He didn't think it was funny.
Lovin' him some green beans...MMM! Now let me just tell you, he loves anything that we have put in his mouth except PEAS. He totally gagged and it was priceless. I need to upload those pics. In his defense, they were a different texture than all the other 1st foods I've given him, so we'll keep trying. Maybe I could mix a little water in there to make them not so thick? I don't know, we'll see. I just love this picture. It will definitely be in his wedding video for his rehearsal dinner! =)
The "drum" was fun, but the spoon was yummier. Such the multi-tasker.
I thought he would not like having the laundry basket over his head, but he wanted to stay in there and chew on it. My little puppy dog. Don't worry...this was not "creative punishment"...it was all in good fun.
My little man and I out in the backyard. I had this grand idea that we would "play" on the quilt, but there was too much excitement (workers building a house on the next street back, cars zooming by, airplanes, you name it...it was more exciting than me!)
Here he is not wanting to play with me...listening to cars go by.
I love how he reaches out for our faces now. It makes me feel special although I know he's just exploring. ;)
Check out this stud...
And finally...daddy's little helper...

I LOVE Jackson's scratchy little voice. Even though he might not feel great...he sounds SO cute! He got my sympathy...and Lauralyn loved seeing him tonight. I think she has a little crush...lol.
