Today

My baby is 9 months old!

I do have a post with pictures coming. His visit with Dr. Knapick went well today. No shots, just a check up. He measured 28 1/2 inches tall and weighed in at 21 lb 12 oz. Dr. K seems to think he's on pace to be about 5'11. He's really only in the 75th percentile. That just makes me wonder how BIG some of these babies Jackskon's age must be!!! I can't imagine him being any bigger right now.

We were laughing when we were filling out his developmental checklist (Kyle spent the day with us...so much fun having him along for a weekday with us), and we had to laugh b/c I would put a check by 3 out of the 4 items (milestones completed). Kyle said, "I think we have a 'C' student on our hands." Haha. But you know, 'C' students can do well in life. I remember former Prez. GW Bush saying at Kyle's graduation ceremony that he was an example of what can happen for a 'C' student. Anyway, I'm not worried about Jackson's grades just yet. Just glad he's here with us and that he's healthy and happy.

We had such a great day just the three of us...went to the Pediatrician, cooked a couple of meals, pulled weeds, talked with neighbors, went to story time, worked out, watched Kyle shoot basketball, then went our separate ways for Monday night TV. It's always fun to have Daddy along with us to do everyday things (although pulling weeds is NOT an everyday thing for us...we need to do better at doing that once a month...haha!) I was thoroughly impressed with Kyle for coming to story time with us. He actually enjoyed it!

This is totally unrelated to today or Jackson being 9 months old, but I'm so excited I must share. Last night, my FAITH team had the opportunity to lead 3 people to Jesus. It was the most incredible experience. It was like seeing a child come into the world. I am ashamed to say I have not been a part of something like that in so long. I am so excited about what God is doing in our lives through FAITH, and I can't wait to see more people come to know Him. God is so good!

Lindsay,
I just now had a chance to read your blog. I am Katie's friend that moved back from FL.
We were without internet for a long time and I just was going back through my old e-mails.
We got to Dr. Knapick as well.
Your little one is precious.
It would be fun to meet up sometime.
