We have been anxiously awaiting Jackson's first word. Of course he has been babbling all sorts of things and saying "yum" between bites of food, but this was his first word that he said with seemingly the knowledge to back it up!
I was standing in the kitchen grinding up coffee beans...which, by the way Jackson was NOT thrilled about. Every time I pressed the button, he would say "AHHHHHHHHHHHH" really loudly!
Anyway, out of the blue I heard him say "BALL" very clearly. I thought...hmmm? Did he just say "ball?" I walked around the corner, and he was chasing after his ball! That's my boy. Great first word! Daddy was pleased.
We are ten different kinds of excited about this first word.
