Lil' Miss Crafty?

Well, I wouldn't go that far, but even I couldn't mess up this cute little project. I saw it on http://nestingplacenc.blogspot.com/2009/04/frame-it-framed-fork.html (The Nesting Place Blog) and decided to give it a try. Instead of using any old silver, I thought it would be cute to frame one of J's silver baby spoons. Yeah, I'm sentimental like that.

I hope you didn't look too closely because in some places it was the victim of "haste makes waste" if you know what I mean because I'm quite the impatient one. However, I'm led to believe that when it's hanging on the wall these things won't matter. Let's hope I'm right. I'm thinking about hanging it somewhere near J's high chair or on a different [small] wall in the kitchen.

Frame: $5.99 (1/2 off at Hobby Lobby)
Scrapbook Paper: $.15 (1/2 off at Hobby Lobby)
Total Price of this Projectl: $6.14.

And it was fun because it only took about 5 minutes.
Stay tuned for more projects. I'm working on several things for the "play room".

I know the suspense is going to kill you.

It sure does--look professional! Perhaps when D is done using his silver spoon (which has brought a new meaning to the phrase born with a silver spoon in his mouth), I will do the same. Love the fact that it is something more meaningful than just a normal fork.

Aw, thanks girls! Margaret, that's funny. He's really not done with it by the way...in fact, he never used it lol. But it's sentimental b/c it was given to him by our home church where he was dedicated. It says "jefferson baptist church" on it.

Thanks for the encouragement. And April, thanks for your help yesterday. My Hobby Lobby Angel who appeared from no where in my time of need!!! ;)
