It's half-way through the week, so I thought I'd give you and update on how we're doing!
-Kyle's "busy season" is pretty much over, so it's been nice to have him at home at his normal times with us again! We made it through with very few break downs. It's always hard for him to not be able to see Jackson before he goes to bed, but we usually make up for it on the weekends.
-I am really enjoying working a couple days a week! Right now I'm doing mostly Braille production, and I have already learned a lot. It has been nice to be around my new VI co-workers. There is no group like those working with students with VI!
-We got to talk with Laura Beth and Lester (sis and her BF) the other night on the Web Cam, and they were at CC's. They did a 360 view of the streets/coffee house for us, and my heart hurt with home sickness! We are visiting BR in just a few weeks. Kyle is doing recruiting for ExxonMobil at LSU.
-Last night I was so tired my body hurt! I decided to enforce an earlier bed time on myself, and I went to sleep around 10 pm. I have been staying awake waaay too late these days! Kyle and I have realized we can't keep up our habits from younger years...haha. I feel so much better today, and my Doodle Bug is still asleep. I'm working on his scrapbook (an on informing you about all these random happenings.)
-I have been reading "Shepherding A Child's Heart" and have felt so much encouragement. Since having Jackson, I've been overwhelmed at all the parenting books out there and have never known which to read! This one focuses on the only source I need to be concerned with when it comes to parenting--the Bible. I have literally felt a weight lifted off my shoulders as I trust in God and rely on His Truth to guide me to a better understanding of how to raise our child(ren). I'm so thankful to friends for recommending this book.
-This is random, but every night I have been craving a hot mocha drink. Well, we don't have things like that lying around our house, so I haven't been able to satisfy that craving. However, last night I made some chocolate milk with Hershey's syrup and microwaved it. Why is that so satisfying at night?? Definitely don't want that becoming a habit!!
-I don't have any other random thoughts. Oh yes, I do. IT'S GAME WEEK!!!!!!!!!!! We are so excited about football season and hoping for a better year than last for our dear sweet Tigers. LOVE this time of year!!!!!!!!!! GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, Lindsay, I am excited that this week is finally here, too. Can't wait to see my Gators, the current national champions, take the field at the Swamp on Sat. night! And, in two weeks I will be in the swamp for the Tennessee game. GO GATORS!
Katie's Mom
There is no better football than SEC football. And I went to school in the Big 12.
Also-loving that my mom chimed in on this one-she is super pumped about going to The Swamp this year!
