Family Beach Trip

I'm only about 6 months late with this post. Couldn't let such a great memory from this summer slip by un-Blogged about. :)

This past summer, my grandparents took our family on a Beach Trip to Orange Beach, Alabama. All seven grandkids were there, as well as one certain little great-grandkiddo. We now have to stay in two separate condos, and Jackson and I were lucky enough to stay in the one with all the food. ;) Jackson was of course spoiled rotten in a good way, and we all loved being together. Our family has always connected at the beach, and this year was no exception. It was so much fun to be there for the fourth of July! I missed Kyle (somebody has to work!), but if you have to be away from the love of your life, there's no better place to be than the beach. I think I'll let the pictures do most of the talking...

Thankful Granny doesn't stop seeking God while at the beach...even more thankful my baby was there to see her faithfulness first hand...

Running in and out of the door was a blast...

Fresh peaches were a definite favorite! I lost count of how many he ate...

Happy Independence Day!

The pools were amazing and huge. Some of us used to look tan before Lester became a part of our family. That's OK, we prefer the appearance of pale skin to not having Les around. :)

Early morning fun with Pap...Jackson had a blast and loved that Pappy stayed right with him.

One night we had an amazing Italian feast. I was so sad Kyle had to miss it! Homemade lasagna AND homemade pizza. The women in my family can COOK. All we needed was some of PawPaw Silvio's spaghetti. Yummm.

Just some more pics...

Wearing Granny's hat ;)

3 generations

Mom and I were some of the last to leave the Beach. College kids have busy schedules, and many of them along with Aunt Jan had to head back the day before we did. Mom and I were basket cases the morning we left. We took the beach road (the long route) for as long as we could. We cried and really mourned having to leave the beach. It was quite pathetic. We laughed at ourselves. We were just made to be at the beach. That's all there is to it.

All seven grandkids...I love these people.

And the two who started it all...

We are blessed beyond belief.
