Has anyone else out there scored big time from their neighbors' trash?!?!
I'm not the slightest bit embarrassed (I'm actually kind of bragging...) to tell you that I saved a precious little WAGON from a curb about 5 houses down that was destined to no longer haul smiling (or screaming) little kiddos around in it. I mean, that's what a wagon was BUILT for...it's life's purpose...can you imagine a little red wagon doomed to come back as something much more boring...like I don't know...a flying monkey sculpture made of recycled metal? I couldn't bear to think such a tragic occurrence!
I know you want to know my method of acquiring this little wagon. I did give it a quick little "drive-by" to make sure it was worth stooping to that level for, and my inspection led me to believe that indeed it was. So, I didn't just grab it from the curb. I'm a way classier trash-stealer than that. I'll have you know that I marched right up to their front door and told them that I was going to take it. Kyle was mortified when the lady came walking out behind me to get it. He didn't praise my good work until we were safe in the privacy of our own home. He was totally grinning. He's so proud of me. Hehe.
Oh, but back to my question...have YOU ever found anything fabulous in someone's trash? If so, did you take it?

You know me...I LOVE "dumpster diving." Except, I always try to get someone else to do the actual taking. :) Way to go on the wagon find.
Yeah, Lindsay!
I too have found stuff...got my little child's recliner that way! But my sister is the queen of this and would put us all to shame! (and I mean major shame!)
Our neighbors have boring trash. Why would they put something perfectly usable out for trash? Have they ever heard of a garage sale or goodwill? Glad it didn't go to waste!
lol I TOTALLY grabbed a fancy fisher price swing from someone's trash (after dark, only a tad embarassed) and then SOLD it on craigslist for $50. Score!
Love it! One time while at a friend's house, their neighbor put a gas grill on the curb with a sign that said FREE. It was out there all of 5 minutes before Matt and our friend loaded it into our truck. We still use it and that was 3 years ago! Score on the wagon!
