I Wanna Rock Wit You!

Sorry, there's no picture to share with this sweet story. On Sunday night (Granny's Birthday!), I had already rocked Jacks and put him in bed. I thought for sure he was sleeping soundly, so I went in to cover him up once more since he always either gets tangled up in his covers or kicks them off. The thought of him going to sleep cold makes me sad! Anyway, I walked in and he was quiet so I kept walking toward the bed. Instead of seeing a baby sleeping soundly, I saw a sweet little toddler looking up at me. He then had this huge grin break across his face. He sat up and said, "Rot." [aka, Rock, please.] I said, "You wanna rock?" He said so clearly, "Wi Chew." (side note = Dad, I couldn't help but break out into "I Wanna Rock Wit You"...in my head of course) This totally melted my heart! :)

Of course I said "OK." I don't ever turn down a chance to rock my baby boy...no matter how tired I may be. He sat in my arms and stared up at me, and I said, "Who did you wanna rock with?" (Of course wanting to hear it again!) He replied, "Uh-huh. Wi Chew. And Go Go Go Goal [basketball goal]." HAHA! I love my little man so much it hurts.

He then said, "Duckle, Duckle." My cue to sing "Twinkle Twinkle Little Star." I have NO idea where he learned this song because I have never sung it with him! But now we sing it every night. We sang that together, and then he said, "Je-Duh." So we sang "Jesus Loves Me" together, too. As I left, he was making his 2 bears kiss and saying "Awww."

I just love this stage!!! I cannot believe my little man will be two in 3 months!

PS - I just love how my precious little man brings me back down to earth every single time I get my head stuck in the clouds. He just woke up and is in his room saying, "I booped, Mama. I booped." Haha. Guess I gotta go change a poopy diaper! (Kayla and Britt, I could almost hear you two simultaneously saying "Eww gross!" HAHA. TMI I guess.

Have a great Wednesday, everyone! :)
