Babies, A Birthday & Mexican Food

This past weekend was so much fun! I got to celebrate the upcoming birth of Nick and Jaime's sweet baby girl Addyson with good friends. I will not post any pictures because those are hers to share, but she was glowing and the girl time was flowing. For sure. We had so much fun, and we are all so ready to meet Addyson! I am so blessed right now to have so many babies in my life! So many of my (Houston) friends and my Wyoming friend (Love ya Kim) have either just had a baby or will have one within the next couple months. Seriously, I love babies, and I'm so glad to be surrounded by them! :)

And of course that sweet little toddler of mine...

I also celebrated the big 2-7 this weekend. Woo hoo! Don't worry, I already had the realization that in three months, I will (still) be 27, have a TWO year old, and will have been married SEVEN years. What a blessing! And how strange! All at the same time. In THREE months I will be adding a SISTER-IN-LAW to my (Shoumaker) family! (Is it just me, or are there a lot of parentheses in this post?) Wow...Dustin has been around for a long time, but I'm so glad she will finally be our sister/daughter/aunt/etc. She is marrying Mitchell, the older of my two younger brothers. Have I ever talked about my siblings on here? You should know them...all three (almost 4) of them. They are pretty cool.

Sorry...I was having a moment. I am tempted to delete the above paragraph because it's very hyperactive in nature, but one day when I'm older (I typed a certain age and then deleted so as not to offend anyone) I'll look back and laugh at myself. Ha.

What was I even talking about? Oh, my birthday. The whole point of this post was to tell you how I was treated to a birthday massage on Saturday afternoon...

This was really not staged. He was so happy to be giving me a massage, and he actually did a great job.

:)

Later on that afternoon, Kyle and Jacks were ready to take me out for my birthday! Some sweet friends offered to keep Jackson, but no...I wanted him with us for my birthday. He's been so good at restaurants lately (knock on wood), so I thought it would be fun to have him along. He wasn't terrible, but he wanted to sit in my lap the whole time. Kyle was laughing because this was the first time him being a "mama's boy" worked in his favor. Ha. I will say that even though I had a toddler sitting in my lap squirming while I was eating, the jalapeno ranch dip was every bit as good as it normally is. It was a dip lover's dream...jalapeno ranch, queso, and salsa...Mmmm!!

We then ventured over to the Galleria but didn't stay long. Jacks was kind of "over" my birthday. Ha.

Anyway, I thought there were some other fun pictures from this weekend but maybe not.

I have so many pictures to share...still from Thanksgiving and Christmas, the last two months, and Maw and Paw's 50th Wedding Anniversary celebration last weekend!!! We are looking into getting a computer that can keep up with us...this one is 6 years old (which is probably 630 in computer years), so adding pictures takes more patience than the good Lord has granted me with. But there will be some kind of marathon picture post soon. :)

Love to y'all.

So good to chat with you yesterday. It was so wonderful to hear your voice. Glad that you had a fun birthday weekend as well. Hope that you were able to consume some Chuy's for me....miss that place! You have some fun times ahead with all the wedding events with Mitchell and Dustin. Enjoy your time with your family. Love you!
