If you don't have a toddler who is very much obsessed with diggers, you may have no clue what I'm talking about. I didn't realize how caught up I was in "boy world" until on the way home from dinner with some girlfriends Sunday night, I proclaimed, "Digger!" as we passed one on the side of I-45...without Jackson in the car. They said, "Huh?" (They both have girls.) I didn't mean to do it. It's just that it's my duty to point out diggers, dump trucks, trains, school buses, horses, dogs, etc. for the enjoyment and satisfaction of my little guy. He typically notices them first, but it's always a proud moment when I spot one that he didn't. Anyway, 95% of my car rides include him, so it's just natural for me to yell out such things while I'm driving.
Anyway, back to excavators. They are just one type of digger. I only know this because it's a requirement for a person in my line of work to be educated on these things so that she can properly label them when her 2-year-old screams from the back seat of the car (and with much excitement), "DIGGUHHHHHHHHHHH!!!"
After some research and a little tiny bit of brainwashing from the video I've posted below, I decided that excavators are indeed my favorite digger. Just watch the video and see what all they can do! The song is pretty catchy, too. Just don't blame me when you let your toddler boy watch it every night over and over while you're cooking dinner and then you have the song stuck in your head all night long much to your husband's frustration. I have been asked not to sing the excavator song anymore during dinner (not by Jackson, of course). It's just so catchy!!!!! I can't help myself.
Grab your favorite toddler boy and enjoy! :)

Lindsay, that song...crack me up! And yes, I defn. just watched that video ALONE...L isn't even here, but I'm going to have to show him the video.
Never should have watched the video! That song will be stuck in my head too! :) Will have to show this to D when he gets up from nap.
Although, you know he will call it a "car."
My favorite part was the spoken word section in the middle of the song. Excavators are serious machines, y'all!
