He did it!!!!
Kyle finished the Baton Rouge Beach Marathon this past Saturday in 4 hours & 22 minutes after training for only 66 days!
He cracked me up when he decided to run the thing. We walked home from the park at the Elementary School behind our house and discovered when we made it back that Kyle left his keys and phone at the park. So...he sprinted back to get them. When he ran back up to the house with keys and phone in hand, he proclaimed, "I'm a good little runner! I think I'll run a marathon!"
Umm...OK.
And he did! :)
I'm so proud of Kyle for not only finishing but for how he handled the training. He always waited until Jacks was in bed to go do his runs so that he could spend time with us first. I admire the way he completed the goal while still keeping his family number one!
We are so proud of you, Kyle!!!
