I know it's been a while since I posted anything (told you this isn't my forte), so I thought I would give an update since SOOO much has happened over the last few weeks!
1. We sold our house! This is one reason I say God is good all the time because (as we knew) it all worked out for the best in HIS timing, not ours! It was not easy to keep the house in perfect showing condition every SINGLE day for the last two months, but it was worth it to be able to stay in our own house up until two weeks before we move! (more on the moving details later...I have to finish talking about how GOOD God is first!)
2. Gracie has a new home. I know, I know it sounds terrible, but we really did not want to make the move and have to worry about Gracie tearing up our new backyard and then keeping her away from the baby...it was just too much. I have to say it is nice to not have to "tend to her" even though she was a precious dog and we miss her (well, maybe a little). She has a great new home where there are kids to play with her, and she can run around a big yard. I hope she likes her new home!
3. Kyle is finishing up his last week at Chase and finishing school all in the same week. I am soooooooo happy for Kyle and of course so proud of him, too. Looking back, the three years that he was in MBA school have FLOWN by, but I am glad that he is completely done and can enjoy normal working hours again. I am also relieved to have finally finished school myself (in December)! No more school for us EVER!!! Kyle is taking off the month of March and plans to play golf every day (unless it's raining :))! He totally deserves it. He won't be able to come back for his graduation since it's the WEEK of my due date, but he said he didn't want to go to it anyway. He'd rather have a party with family & friends before leaving town. I can't say anything; I didn't go to my own in December.
4. Everything with our Houston house has just fallen into place. Our WONDERFUL Realtor from Spring has been checking on it for us twice a week and updating us on the status of things. I have got to send her some sort of special gift for all she has done for us, but I'm not sure yet what I should do. Any ideas? She's about 55.
5. I will have a replacement at my job! Mrs. Tully, the amazing woman who worked with my student and did all of his Brailling before I came along has graciously agreed to "stand in the gap" for the last two months of school. Hopefully they will find someone for next school year. I felt so terrible leaving, so now I can feel good about it knowing my student is in GREAT hands!
There are many more ways I could say that God has blessed us throughout this whole process, but I would probably be writing for days. We are just in awe of His blessings and so thankful that He chooses to meet our every need in His perfect timing. We cannot wait to see what the future holds for our little family!
Now, for more on the situation with the move...
Here is the schedule:
March 3rd & 4th - Packing Days
March 5th - Loading Day
March 7th - Delivering Day (We are going to Houston this day--but only for one day--to sort of unpack and just place furniture).
March 24th - official moving day. For the two weeks that we don't have a house, we will be living with Keith & Kayla during the week (fun slumber party time!) and at the crazy Shoumaker house (as if it needed any more excitement) on the weekend (more fun slumber party time!)
Surprisingly with everything that is going on, we are just enjoying spending time with family and friends and not really worrying about all the business in the months ahead. We are getting really really excited about our little guy being born in May, and we cannot wait to start preparing for his arrival! The buying has begun. I was doing sooo well, but now I just can't resist buying cute little things for the little guy. I'm trying to be good, though. It's really hard. I am now almost 7 months pregnant (in one week), and I'll be in my third trimester!!! Crazy. It has really flown by. Everything is going great, and I feel amazing! I've been trying to kick up my work out a notch b/c I had slacked off a little. :)
Anyway, as for me, I'll be working for about 3 1/2 more weeks. I've got a lot to accomplish before I leave, but I love my job and really plan on enjoying my kids these next few weeks. I'm so thankful to have had this job this year. It has been so amazing!
Anyway, that was a lot of information and you are probably bored to tears if you are still reading! Love you all! Muah!

I don't think I've ever heard yall refer to Gracie as "precious". Ha. Anyway....this is all so exciting and sad at the same time. But I don't feel like gettin all mushy right now. I don't need that. I have enough to deal with. Hey I think you left off one important date. You know the one I'm talking about.
Love you both!
I am LAUGHING OUT LOUD mom! I don't guess we've ever called her "precious"--lol--but what adjective could I have used? I was trying to be sentimental/nice. :)Who was being mushy? I was trying to be positive! Let's not be mushy; let's just plan your first visit! And what important date are you talking about? I literally have NO idea--seriously. Inform me. Love ya!
I am so excited you will be so much closer to me! Kristy & Wade are looking at an ortho clinic in The Woodlands so if they move there...even MORE excuses to come see you!
