Terrific Thursday

I couldn't really come up with a catchy title for this blog since it's not about anything in particular! When I was in ninth grade, Diana (one of my BFs) and I rode to school together everyday either with her mom or dad. It was usually her dad, but when her mom brought us, she always said goodbye when she dropped us off by saying, "Have a Marvelous Monday!" (or Terrific Tuesday...etc.) So it just stuck, and I always say it now! Love you Mrs. Donna. :)

So we had a great weekend, and it has been a great week so far! I am starting to wonder if the sun ever shines in this town, though. Ha. Has the weather everywhere been so yucky? Saturday was absolutely BEAUTIFUL, but the sun has been hiding since then. We drove out to a new outlet mall which was supposed to be close to our house...well it IS...but we went the wrong way. Ha. It was a wonderful mistake, though, because we ended up on this beautiful country drive (it's so weird here how you can be in the big city one minute and complete country the next). We had fun just talking. It's definitely a fun adventure living in a new place. ANYWAY, the point of this story was not really to tell you about the outlet mall but what we stumbled upon while we were driving...A DRIVE-IN MOVIE THEATER!!!! Ha. We could not believe it, so we are definitely going to have to check that out soon. Evidently it just opened. It doesn't play new releases or anything, but I think it would be fun!

Kayla came to visit us Sunday-Wednesday, and it was so fun to have her here! We really didn't do anything spectacular--just shopped, ate, shopped, ate...hahaha. And of course got on Kyle's nerves. :) Just kidding.

I am doing a little better at not getting lost every time I get in the car. YES I DO HAVE A GPS...but that doesn't always help when you're on a five-lane road and Emma (my GPS) gets a little confused. Or maybe it's me. I need to update my system since so many of the places around here are so new. That would probably help a lot. But I'm trying not to rely on her (Emma that is) so I can actually learn my way around without being dependent. This is taking a hard hit on my ego b/c I've always prided myself in my great sense of direction. Not so much anymore. I'll get it eventually. At least Kyle knows where he's going.

I guess I have hit the part of my pregnancy where I'm going to be more tired. (Or maybe Kayla just wore me out this week...haha just kidding LKR). It's like one moment I have all this energy and want to get a million things done. Then...it's like the thought of getting up off the couch is painful. Ha. I feel very blessed to be home right now and able to rest when I need it because lately...I need it! As not fun as being tired is, it reminds me that the little guy is GROWING fast and about to be here!!!! Less than 7 weeks.

Anyway, that's all I have for now. Tomorrow I'm going to visit with a pediatrician, so hopefully that will go well. We're going to our first Rockets game tomorrow night, so I'm looking forward to that!

Have a great weekend everyone!
