F-R-I-E-N-D-S

We have been pretty busy, so I have lots to catch you up on! I'll start with last weekend...

The Willetts, Wilson's, & Silvio's (Keith & Kayla) came to visit us last weekend, and it was so nice to have a little "piece of home" right here with us in Houston. We enjoyed hanging out, talking, and eating good food--despite the non-English speaking waiter at Lupe Tortilla that tried to ruin our fun. We enjoyed sharing stories about embarrassing moments we have had...I must say I feel a closer bond between all of us now knowing some of the things I now know. ;)

Lots of good memories were made, and it was nice to have Mike around because he was always willing to babysit Jackson. I managed to catch a picture of them in their matching camo.
We were dazzled by Ashley's video recording skills--did you know that if you turn your video camera to the side, you get a sideways picture? If you're expecting to turn it to the side and get a vertical shot...you'll be disappointed. LOL. We enjoyed the "sideways" view of Chad & Ashley's brand new house. It's gorgeous, and we can't wait to see it in person...right side up!

We enjoyed watching the guys devour meat at Fogo De Chao...I don't think Chad said a word the entire time we were there. =)
Wasn't able to get a picture of Mike with the meat...so here he is with his coffee!!! LOL...
We celebrated Kyle and Ashley's birthdays with ice cream sundaes and stale cookie cake from Kroger. It wasn't to our liking, so Kyle brought it back to express our disappointment around 11 pm. He came home with another [stale] cookie cake, but was proud of his efforts anyway.

We went to the Cubs/Astros game Saturday night. Kyle, Keith, & Chad have always been huge Cubs fans, so we were super excited that they were going to be playing right here in town.

That's Jackson in the huge Rice hat hahaha...
Jackson was a little ashamed that the Cubbies were losing (see picture below), but we got some great pictures and had a good time~! Jackson has a habit of sleeping through all of his "firsts!" He did not wake up once at the ball park. He's an easy traveler, but I wish he'd wake up to enjoy the fun!!!
There's nothing sweeter than the relationship between these daddies and their boys...They are so precious and such good examples of Christ's love to their little boys...Keith's not a daddy yet, but when he is, I know he will be just as great! (Don't rush it, Keith...but I don't think I have to tell you that.)
Maddox (Chad & Ashley's son)

Brooks (Mike & Lori's son)
My two boys - notice he can't even wake up for his picture! Isn't he a stud in his Cubs jersey?
The Ladies! Lori is due with a little girl, Lucy, in September!!! We can't wait to meet her.
The whole gang
A few more pics...
Thanks, guys, for making the trek over here! We had lots of fun! =)

Jackson is getting so big! Glad that your friends came to visit. Looks like y'all really took care of them and took them to some fun places around town. Glad you are home!
