I'm not sure how I should address you because lately we call you all sorts of names! Lil' Paratrooper, Toot Toot, Lil' Man, Buddy, Stinker, J-man, Sweet Pea, and the list goes on an on. Why do we call you "Paratrooper", you might ask? You want to crawl soooo bad, but you haven't quite figured it out. You get up on all fours and rock, and just when we think you're about to take off, it's paratrooper time. You land on your tummy and flail your arms out to the side and make the most exciting sounds. You squeal in happiness. We think your paratrooper routine is hilarious.

You are also getting so big!! And vocal! I think my days of toting you around to all of my appointments are over! It's not that you're not well behaved, but you're just so vocal! You want to talk to everyone, and you want to do it loudly! Don't worry, we still go tons of places together, but you won't find yourself sitting in your carrier while I'm getting my hair done or teeth cleaned anymore. Thank goodness you have some wonderful friends whose mommies have been willing to watch you for me.Here you are squealing and just enjoying life
Mrs. Faye and Mrs. Barbara at Mother's Day Out just can't seem to get enough of you. They love you to pieces, and you are really enjoying your time with them. You are actually staying awake while you're there now. In the beginning, you slept the whole time. Now you do not ever want to miss a beat. In fact, you push your limits a lot and try to stay awake because you're afraid something will happen without you. I have NO idea where you got that from! =)You've also been somewhat nosy lately!!! When Dad and I are talking in the car, you practically break your neck to look up at us. You can't stand to not be in on the conversation. (Not sure where you got that from either! =) ) We are always talking to you and so happy that you are with us when we go places. I can't even express how much joy you've brought in such a short time.
Speaking of going places, you took another trip this month. You went back to Baton Rouge and were dedicated at Jefferson Baptist. We had a great time visiting with family and friends that weekend, and we were so thankful that we got to be there for Brian and Mandi's wedding. What a beautiful wedding!

At the park for play group. I love the silly face you're making. Aunt BB says it's because you spend so much time with me, and you're learning to make the crazy faces I do. Fun puppy dog hat from Latham!!Love those floppy ears. This was the first cool day, and I loved bundling you up!
We brought Dad back to the park the next day so he could check it out, and we had a great time walking with you and playing on the swings. You were so interested in the "big kids" running around. Don't worry, it won't be long until you're running around, too.Ready to go to the park!
Dad & I had a great time on the swings. The next best thing to being a kid is having one. We had not swung in FOREVER! We had a good time laughing about everything we used to do on the swings as kids...and playing with you of course!
It was REALLY cold the next day, so before we ran our errands I bundled you up and snapped your picture. Another hand-me-down hat...so cute!! For our people back home, I think he looks like a "mini Smo" if you know what I mean. Haha.
You are just such a curious little fella these days. You love to scratch everything, and you can't quite figure out why the flowers on our sheets won't come off when you scratch them. You stare at them in wonder. You put your hands on everything, and of course it all goes in your mouth! You even discovered my mouth the other day and thought it was so funny when I chomped down (no teeth!) on your fingers. You love to laugh, and you do it all the time. We play peek-a-boo and all sorts of fun games with you to make you laugh. You are so much fun.Poppy is so funny. Or was it mommy playing Peek-A-Boo?
You are still loving sucking on your thumb. I'm glad you found it! It soothes you when you get frustrated or are waiting on your bottle. You are such a patient little man. I hope you stay that way. You are also chewing on EVERYTHING you can get your hands on. I think you've got a couple of little teeth starting to surface, but they're not cutting through just yet. I can't believe how quickly you are changing.Yummy thumb.
You also love for us to play with your feet. I have to say yours are the only feet Dad does not mind playing with. He HATES feet, but you always want him to play with yours when y'all are rocking and he does it!Dad playing with your feet.
You light up my morning every single day when I walk in your room and you look up and smile. You still look sleepy usually, and it's the cutest sight. You always talk in your crib for a little while before I go get you. I love our time together in the morning; it's the best part of my day. You smile with your whole face, and there's no better sight in this world. You make me feel so special when you are so excited to see me. I'm happy to see you every morning, too.
This has been such a fun month with visits to the pumpkin patch, walks in the park, family visits & time with great friends. We look forward to many more. You are changing so much everyday. This time next month you'll be eating your fruits and vegetables! You'll never look back at that rice cereal although right now you think it's pretty tasty.Dad and I love you more than ever, and we just can't get enough of you. Thank you for all of the joy that you bring.
Here are a few more of my favorite pictures from this month.
Hanging with Mr. Monkey (Check out that belly!)
Can't forget how precious rocking time with Dad is every night. You sleep so peacefully in his arms. So cute in your little PJs.
Love you Buddy!Love,
Mom
