Silvio Family Fun

Two weekends ago, Kyle's parents and grandparents came to visit. We had a great time filled with eating, shopping, tours of Houston (some intentional, some not so intentional), and just good family fun. If you've never been in a packed Suburban with Paw Paw and only a 1/4 tank of gas, you should try it. It's just good times all the way around. :)

We enjoyed relaxing and eating at Pappadeaux's on Friday. We tried to tour Old Town Spring, but it must close earlier than we thought. On Saturday, we enjoyed eating in Rice Village at the Black Walnut Cafe. I had not been to that part of Rice Village, so it was fun. I'm looking forward to going back and doing some shopping. We even got to see Kyle's cousin, Ryan, get off the bus with the Rice football team to head into the locker room. We did refrain from yelling and cheering so not to embarrass Ryan. It brought back good memories of watching him play at Catholic. We will certainly miss that this year but can't wait to watch him play at Rice.

Paw, Kyle, and Jackson at the Black Walnut...of course sporting Game Day gear
The Gang at Rice Stadium. Go OWLS!
Watching the LSU game later that night. We enjoyed Taco Soup and Rotel dip. Notice our little good luck charm. I'm thinking the loss to Fla last night can be attributed to the fact that we didn't dress J in Game Day gear yesterday nor did we eat Rotel dip, which is a Game Day tradition that has never been broken. Sorry, Tigers! We take full responsibilty. But you played horribly.
Oh, and who could forget Yankee Doodle Donuts? We enjoyed those as well. ;)

It was a great time, and we enjoyed the visit.
