Wear Sunscreen!
Among the blessings I'm counting for today is a call from my dermatologist, Dr. Holly Clark, that a biopsy of a very small but too dark freckle on my right calf was a Melanoma caught so early that it has not even invaded the skin. I am very fortunate and praising God to have caught it before it did. The funny thing is I almost put off this visit, but Kyle urged me to go. My skin is very clear for the most part, and this was really not a spot that concerned me. It's a reminder that yearly skin checks are sooo very important. I guess all my years of tanning excessively have caught up with me. It's no small wonder tanning beds are shaped like coffins. I have been more cautious in recent years, but this is most certainly something that is a wake up call for me! I am going to have outpatient surgery to have more of the area removed. It's kind of funny because I'm always concerned about Kyle because he has so many moles. I have one little freckle, and it's a Melanoma! Crazy. Anyway, I'm so very thankful to have caught this early, and I hope you will have a yearly skin check...and wear sunscreen!!!

so glad it is not more serious!!! And thank the Lord for husbands who worry about us!
I love Dr. Clark!! I've got to go see her ASAP now! I think I'm upping the SPH I usually wear.
For real, if anyone needs a good dermatologist, she's your lady!!
Hmmm...I should probably go...
Jaime, what is is SPH? I love Holly too...taught her in children's choir when she was 8 at our church in New Orleans. Praising the Lord you went, Linds!
