Don't get excited...

...this post contains no pics of my lil' man. :) Am I the ONLY one who feels this way, or are the weeks after a long weekend hard for anyone else out there? We had SUCH a fun Labor Day weekend in North LA, and I can't wait to Blog about it (I really am going to start the rest of my summer Blogging soon...must finish before I put my pumpkins on my door step--WHICH WILL BE SOON!)

Anyway, I had technical problems at work & a couple of long days at home due to rain and boredom. J and I were so cooped up Wednesday that at about 3:10 I almost lost my mind. Don't worry, it was nothing a trip to Target couldn't cure. And I mean that literally. I felt like a new woman when we left the store.

OK so these are the random facts that prompted me to write this message:

1. My BFF of 12 years is ENGAGED!!!!!!!! I couldn't be more excited for BB and Ry! They deserve ALL the happiness coming their way. I couldn't have hand picked a better man for my BFF. I could go on an on, but I'll save that for later. Congrats, BB!!! You'll be the most gorgeous bride EVER!!!! :) And an even cuter little wifey. Haha.

2. I'm sorry that I've been a horrible friend lately. Our house phone (which is a piece of junk anyway) has been MIA for two weeks now. If you've ever been to my house, you know the cell phone service is enough to make you lose your mind. Needless to say, I've not been great at keeping in touch. We cannot page the phone b/c it's dead--lol. Hopefully we'll find it soon.

3. Jackson started school this week and has done great (say his teachers!) It has worked pretty smoothly with me dropping him off and heading to work. It's not quite enough time at work (I always seem to need just a few more minutes when I leave), but it will keep me moving efficiently for sure. Despite some difficulties this week, I'm still loving working part time. I'm not sure you can call 8 hours part time, but whatever. This week I'll work 10 hours because I'm going in for 2 hours this morning. It's the perfect amount for me.

4. I'm excited about this weekend of FOOTBALL!!!!! Hoping the Tigers look a little better than last week. GEAUX TIGERS!!!

5. I wanted to share this site. My J-man LOVES sitting at our computer and playing with the keyboard and mouse. This has been going on for about a month now, and finally yesterday I thought...surely the don't have games for this age? I decided to Google it and lo and behold they do! I haven't done much exploring, but I found this site: http://www.fisher-price.com/fp.aspx?st=30&e=gameslanding&mcat=game_infant,game_toddler,game_preschool&site=us

Let me just say that Jackson had a BALL playing some of the "Toddler" games yesterday. He laughed and laughed and smiled and stood up in the chair (yikes) and was ALL kinds of excited. I sat with him mostly and helped him for many reasons, but partly because he kept pressing "Q" on the ABC Zoo game, and I got tired of hearing "Quail" over and over again. Ha! Anyway, these games are excellent for little kiddos who like to tap the keyboard because they are mostly "hit any key to continue" type games. I hope you try them out and have FUN!
