I think I have found a way to make Blogging less stressful for me...making collages!! :) The thing that takes so long is uploading pictures, and this is definitely a quicker way to do it. Thanks Lindsey P.! So maybe I really CAN get caught up on things...
When we came home from the BR Super Regional, Chad and Ashley and their son, Madddox, came for a visit. We have missed them so much, and they have been so sweet to make the trek to Houston 3 times already to come stay with us! OK maybe the MLB baseball and the Red Onion Cafe have something to do with it, but we believe they love us just that much. ;) Chad and I grew up together in the Youth Group at JBC, and Kyle and Chad played high school baseball together and were roommates for a semester at Louisiana College (before Kyle realized he needed to find him a LSU girl.) They got married in December 2003, just 6 months after us, so we have always taken trips and done things together. We absolutely love them and are so glad they came over to spend some time with us!
So far we have a few traditions that we do every time they come:
~SHOPPING
~Cubs (I mean Astros) game...haha
~RED ONION CAFE (shout out to the Pineapple salsa!)
~If they are here on Sunday, they come to church with us. :)
This past visit we tried a few new things:
~XBOX Karaoke...HOLLA! So much fun! HAHA. I would post some of the videos but I'm not sure they would ever come back to visit. Let's just say Ashley and I did some great renditions of Alicia Keys' songs, and Kyle really tore up some Johnny Cash. And Chad, well, if these videos got posted I'm pretty sure he'd be getting a call from the Fray because he was THAT good at their songs. We had a blast and did this every night for hours. Haha.
~Dinner at Farrago's (It was with the kids and quick before the Cubs game, but still fun!)
