Home Sweet Home

After a semi-dramatic trip home yesterday, we are safe and sound in Houston. Whew. I literally did just sigh. I have never been so happy to see Houston, TX as I was last night when we dropped down out of the thunderstorm we were flying through. Ahhh...the Lord truly protected us. I kept repeating scriptures over and over and praying desparate prayers that He would get our little family home safe and sound...and really all the while knowing His angels were surrounding our plane and that we would be just fine. I just hoped it would be without too much drama.

And we made it! Jackson did wonderfully, and I was trying to remain humble as people commented on how sweet our little boy was. He really made me proud. He LOVED being on the airplanes, and somehow that helped me to not be as anxious as I usually am. :)

We had such a wonderful time in Virginia and made so many fun memories as a family, and I can't wait to share the pictures and stories with you. Just wanted to let you know that we made it home.

I am so excited because this morning Jackson and I are hosting our play group's costume party play group. I can't wait to see all the babies in their cute little costumes. Jacks will be the roughest, toughest pirate around. ;) With the cooler weather, the fall festival at church, and a visit from Grammie and PawPaw, it should be a wonderful weekend.

Happy Fall, y'all. ;)

Thank you for a great costume playdate! We had a fun time!
I am so sorry that you had to fly through the storm last night. I can imagine how scary that would be. Glad that you made it home now!
