I have a real live BOY living in my house! The obsession with all things "BOY" has begun, and I LOVE it! It makes driving so entertaining and waiting in waiting rooms so less stressful. The transition period between excitement over snacks (used as "hush puppies") and excitement over these things was a little interesting at times. All he wanted was "OUT!!!" Now, as long as I have a few cars and "The Digger Book" (as Latham named it when HE was two), I'm good to go. Thank you, Lord!
Our rides in the car consist of conversations like this:
Jacks: "Wha shat, Mommy? Wha shat?"
Me: "That's...(insert name of random object on the side of the road)"
Jacks: "Digguh, Mommy! Digguh! Ooooo, Digguh! Wook, Mommy, DI-GUHHHH!!!"
You seriously never know how many construction trucks are on the side of the road until you have a toddler boy who spots them ALL. And, praise the Lord, there are MANY!!
I can't decide what my little man loves more: animals, cars/trucks/choo-choos, or sports. They are all so fun and entertaining, so the options for play are endless. We love blocks right now, too. The wooden ones with the letters on them. So fun.
Well, I thought I had longer to write this post but my little man is awake! We have lots to do today so off I go. We are headed to our Play Group Easter party this morning, and after my coffee I think I'm up for the challenge of getting him ready and out the door and finding some eggs to fill with candy--ha. I can't wait to see Jacks hunt for eggs. When we were headed to my parents' house for Spring Break, I asked Jacks, "So what are you gonna do at KK's house?" And he said, "Eat eggs." HAHAHA. What?? Anyway, the kid loves eggs.
