I had to post this pic just because apparently Jacks and I looked alike on Saturday night. We had dinner at our favorite restaurant--Taste of Texas--and a couple of people INSISTED that Jacks and I looked like twins. :) Even though I don't really agree, it made me feel so good (because of course I think he's adorable.) I think it had something to do with the fact that I didn't have on much makeup at all (what kind of a self respecting female goes to her favorite restaurant in such a condition? One who didn't know she was going there until she found herself on the beltway headed west and Kyle said, "I guess we should just go to Taste of Texas." {Big Smile} I cannot think of a more logical thing to do on a Saturday night when the Beltway is pushing you right smack in that direction.) The three of us had a blast. Of course we did the obligatory IKEA run after we ate dinner because it's just wrong to be so close and not go. Right? We snagged a few things for baby girl and some chip clips, which Jackson has been obsessed with since we picked them up at the store. He even brought them to church Sunday. We made him leave them in the car of course--ha. But he DID ask to bring them inside our friends' house when we dropped by to see their new baby girl. Strange, but at 2 pm on a Sunday (aka naptime), you do what you gotta do to keep the peace. Here's a pic of Jacks and I (bad quality, taken with my phone and the lighting wasn't great) on Saturday night. My little "twin." :)
Here's one of Kyle & Jacks. :) I love these boys. Jacks is CRAZY about his Daddy (and rightfully so.)
I realize this post could not be more random, but it's better than nothing. :) Jacks and I went to the park today, and he found this puddle of mud. It entertained him for 30 minutes and could have entertained him for hours if we hadn't had to go home for lunch. He was so precious stomping around in it. I just love how little boys love mud. :)
Good thing he wore his boots today. I guess you just never know when you'll run across a good puddle of mud. And do you not love the fashion statement he's making? Basketball shorts and cowboy boots. Payless cowboy boots at that. Love it.
Speaking of cowboy boots, Jacks rather pridefully declared to me today, "Hey Mom! Y'all came from Louisiana but iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii came from TEXAS!" I laughed so hard. There's just something about Texans...and I guess he is one in his own right.
