Always an Adventure!!!

Kyle and I only do things in the most ridiculous ways imaginable! We love to make little adventures for ourselves. It all started out with the best of intentions. We wanted to try out the Park N Ride that Kyle will be taking to downtown everyday so that he wasn't going for the first time on his first day at work. It started out smoothly. We left the house on time, got to the Park N Ride easily, caught the bus (charter bus that goes to and from downtown everyday) in plenty enough time, made it to the ExxonMobil building ahead of schedule, and stayed on the bus to return home...so we thought. :)

The bus driver turned around and asked us when we planned on getting off because he didn't have any more stops. We were under the impression that he was taking us back to the Park N Ride. Not so much. So...we are stuck in downtown with no bus and wondering how we are getting home. We laughed out loud for a few minutes. Bus systems have NEVER been our forte'. We were sooo lost when we wen to D.C. Ha. Anyway, so we decided our two options were to either stay around town all day and take the first bus out at 4:05 (negative on that one) or to pay $50 cab fare to get back to the Park N Ride. Again we were laughing. Until...a bus passed with a number on the back and I said, "Hey why don't we call that number?" So we did and the lady told us of a bus that was going back and all we had to do was walk a few blocks back to the bus station. I forgot to tell you about how Kyle drug my 8 months pregnant self about 5 or 6 blocks on a goose chase earlier. Anyway, that's okay. So we sat at the bus stop with some REALLY shady looking people for a while and eventually caught a bus back...arriving at home 3 1/2 hours after we left.

All I have to say is..."It is what it is!" :)

Things are going well. We have gotten pretty much everything unpacked and organized. We have a little left to do, but not much. Our living room furniture should get here Tuesday, and then it will feel more like home!

Our neighbors across the street are so nice. They have three boys who are so cute and remind me of how Kyle, Keith & Kevin must have been. They came over tonight and brought us some banana bread, which was amazing.

I can't believe the weekend is already here! Seems weird that we've almost been here a week. Tomorrow night we are going to eat with Kyle's "buddy" from his group at EM and his wife. Sunday we are visiting a church that is really close to our house (tear...miss JBC already). I told Kyle that he has to take me to eat at Lupe Tortilla on Sunday. Gotta have my Sunday Mexican to be with the fam in spirit. :)

Kyle finally got to play golf today, so that was good. I slept almost the whole time he was gone. I guess all the busyness before we left BR caught up with me because I was tiiiired! I have my appointment with my new OB on Monday, so that's exciting. Getting so close! 8.5 weeks. Wow. We cannot wait!

So far, my Houston favorites are: Lupe Tortilla, Cafe Express, the Expectant Moms Parking at Kroger, the Woodlands Mall & shopping in general! Oh, how could I forget the taco trucks that roam the neighborhood offering tacos to the men working on houses. Ha. I can't wait to do more exploring. I'm waiting til Kyle goes back to work to really check out the shopping. ;)

That's it for now. No other new news! I need to post some pictures, but I'll do that later. Love y'all!

So have you stopped the taco truck to eat one yet? Brett and I haven't braved it but they drive by everyday feeding the builder guys here too! With my weak stomach I've been too chicken but I'm sure it is good!
