Well, it has happened.
Our little man is now facing the world head on. I know, I know...I have said a thousand times that I was keeping him rear facing for as long as I could. After being made fun of by several of my friends because his knees were bent and he looked pretty uncomfortable, I caved.
On the way to the beach, we turned Jackson around to face forward. He was not technically a year yet...about a week early; however, at 23 pounds I didn't think those few extra days would matter. ;)
Anyway, I captured his first few moments of his new view on video, and wow...he was loving life. Part of me felt so bad that I wasn't going to turn him around because he just loved it.
PS - Please ignore my allergy voice. Also, yes, there is a DVD playing in the background, but that is NOT what he is looking/smiling at. He was definitely gazing out the window and smiling. Ha!
PPS - If you're wondering why on Earth I'm Blogging so much, my boy has decided to take up the sleep schedule of a college kid. He woke up at 1:15--yes, in the afternoon--yesterday and is still sleeping right now (10:00 AM) even with normal bedtimes. I think he's just catching up because we've been so "on the go" lately. We have errands to run and things to do, but my mama told me NEVER TO WAKE A SLEEPING BABY, so I'm not. ;)

Yeah for his napping! And yeah for a happy baby! We still have another 2+ months but D is already 21+ pounds or so... I can't wait until he is a happier traveler too. (especially cause with this new carseat --that I just love--it is very high backed (as you know) and very hard to reach back and console him when crying.)
You are right...it was SO hard to reach him around that thing. It was near impossible. Just hang in there; it will be time soon enough! :)
