I still can't get enough of this song. If you didn't read my post yesterday about Random Things, that's where I mentioned it first. I want to post the lyrics for you because they are just so rich!
Before I post the lyrics, I just have to say today has been a GREAT day! I overslept this morning and really didn't feel like rushing to get us ready and seriously contemplated not going in to work. I couldn't think of a good reason not to go in other than my laziness, so off we went (a little late...who oversleeps for a 9:00 start to school?) When I got to work and there wasn't much to do, I was thrilled and thanked God for blessing me in this way! Kyle thought that I should stay at work and get paid to play Solitaire (he was kidding), but I had GIRL TIME on the brain! I split out and headed to meet Jaime and Addyson at Target for just that! Target is truly my happy place! What's yours? We then ate lunch at Chick-Fil-A before heading to pick up our little men. I loved every minute of being with Addyson without a certain little jealous mini-man. He is not a big fan of me loving on other babies.
I WILL say that he was very sweet to Addyson when he saw her this afternoon...(We've gotten in a little routine of playing with them after school some weeks because they have to pass our house on their way home. Latham says he wants to go play with Jacks because "He's a fun boy." HAHA.) Anyway, Jacks showed Addyson his stuffed dog and then gave her a kiss with it. :) Sweetness. Go ahead and leave your comment saying "He needs a sibling"...Haha. I guess I set myself up for that one.
Anyway, that's about all. I was giving Jacks a few minutes to play by himself. Now he's asking me...I'm sorry TELLING me: "Sit, Mommy. Sit here. Play cars." HAHA. Can't say no to that.
Back to the original reason for this post...Here are the lyrics.
Do It Lord
By Tommy Walker
I see Your glory covering the earth, Lord
Just as the waters are covering the sea
I see the millions coming to salvation
I see revival fire in the land
I see the lost and nameless ones remembered
I see the widows shouting out your praise
I see the friendless loved and celebrated
Orphans fulfilling, Lord, Your calling on their lives
Bridge
Do it Lord, do it Lord,
Do it Lord we are praying,
Do it Lord, do it that your glory may be seen
I see forgiveness overtaking hatred
Pride and prejudice now giving way to love
I see depression replaced with joy and gladness
And Satan’s lies now bowing to the Truth
Bridge
Do it Lord, do it Lord,
Do it Lord we are praying,
Do it Lord, do it that your glory may be seen
Chorus
This is our prayer oh God
This is our desperate cry
In these days that we’re living now
Let Your kingdom come let your will be done
I see the brokenness of families brought to wholeness
I see the prodigals running home to You
Father’s hearts now turning toward their children
And the children’s hearts turning toward their father’s
I see Your Church rising up in power
Laying down their lives in unity and love
I hear the sounds of every tribe and nation
Giving glory to Jesus Christ the Son
