We Heart The Park

So I wrote this post on Wednesday night and am just now publishing it because my computer will.not.let.me.post.pictures. Booo. In it's defense, it's like 8, 000 years old in computer years. I'm so dedicated to my 5 Blog readers that I logged on from good ole' BR to add the pic below. :) LB and I are sitting here chatting and I'm drinking a decaf. vanilla bean latte with a swoosh of whip cream. The only thing about the whip cream is there was a "clearance" sticker on it. That reminds me I need to ask my mom what's up with that. I'm a little leery of whip cream on clearance...you? Anyway...lovin' this night. Seriously, everyone should have a sister. This makes the a-w-f-u-l car ride here worth the pain. A certain toddler who will remain nameless so as not to cause any sort of humiliation was quite fussy the entire.car.ride.here. He's usually so great in the car! He was whiny, and I was losing my mind. Kyle was laughing at us, and i asked him to drop me off on the side of the road several times. Can't y'all just see me on the side of I-10? After all that we made it and are thrilled to be here.

I really couldn't think of a title for this one, and I realize it's yet again about our outdoor adventures. We really love the park at the Elementary School behind our house, and on nice nights like tonight, we love to walk to it. (Update: It's now Thursday, and we went again tonight. This time discovered a short cut!)

We found one of those little bouncy balls lying on the ground about halfway between our house and the park, so that kept Jacks entertained for the remainder of the walk to the park and all the way back home. It also kept us entertained as he kept bending down to pick it up after throwing it and it would keep rolling as soon as he got right above it...over and over and over. We couldn't stop laughing.

Anyway, we had a great time and as always the highlight was watching Jacks do the "zip line". Don't tell us if it's normal for an almost two-year-old to be able to do this. It's more fun for us to think he has out-of-control upper body strength.

We planned to arrive back at our house around 8:15 so Kyle could head to the church for a meeting. We got all the way home and poor Kyle had left the keys on the playground. He had to sprint all the way back to the playground and back to our house and hop right in the car. Bless his heart. He said it was God's way of making him exercise.
