Our Little Texan

Doesn't he look fine in a cowboy hat?
I love how I can be both so proud of where I'm from and so proud of where I live now!
Our little man came home from Friday night childcare at church with this cowboy hat on. I had to laugh as soon as I saw him. Even in the very diverse city of Houston, that great Texas pride is not lost. I love it!

I love late winter/early spring in Houston! It's not unbearably hot yet, and there are so many fun things going on. It's almost time for baseball (no matter how bad the Astros stink, the games are fun.) :) It IS time for basketball...We haven't made it to a Rockets game yet this year, though. We need to get on that; I love those games! It's time for church softball--woo hoo! It's time for the Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo. And...it's almost Bluebonnet time! How many years do Mamas get away with taking pictures of their boys in the Bluebonnets? Last year he was eating all the flowers and even projectile vomited one...Kim...I know you remember this! :) Can't wait to see how it goes this year!

I just LOVE this time of year. But I realize I say that every time a new season starts, HA! I think I just get so excited about all that each season holds every time a new one rolls around.

Here are some links to some fun Blog posts from last Winter/Spring:

Well, it's nap time. Have a great Sunday afternoon!

Oh I do remember the bluebonnet day at RFP. So fun. I have pics of C in the bluebonnets on our shelf here and am trying to figure out how to grow these bluebonnet seeds that Eric's mom sent to us. I'm sure I will kill them just like I do every other plant I have tried to take care of in the history of my life. :)
Take lots of pics for us! Wish we could be there with y'all.
Love and miss you.
